On Friday the 19th of Feburary 1466 squadron held a cadet wake-a-thon this was a social fundraising event to raise money for the squadron funds.

On the evening cadets had to stay awake for a full 24 hours and get sponsored to do so. The activities many cadets did were listen to music , watch films, games and a general knowledge quiz this was down at the cadet centre.

Many cadets were very tired by the morning, Cdt Norman described the experience as ”Tiring”. Cdt Hopson said it was ”Entertaining”.

In total the cadet’s raised a much needed £287.00 this is a fantastic achievement for a relatively small squadron; With a special thanks to Cdt Berry who solely raised £61.00 Well done. An evening that many cadets would like to repeat a thoroughly enjoyed event.
